Introducing… Wonderland Yarns!

There are lots of new things in the shop this spring, and one of our favorite new lines is Wonderland Yarns by Fabjous Fibers! We love the color combinations as well as the simple (and fun) patterns. Many of the kits come with patterns to choose between, such as a shawl or hat and gloves. Here are a couple of our favorites:

Color Block Bias Wrap: The Ideal Winter Knit

Looking for a warm and cozy knit for these snowy days? We absolutely loved knitting (and now love wearing) the Color Block Bias Wrap using Chalet yarn. Although this project has a luxurious drape to it, it knits up quickly on size 13 needles. Classic Elite’s Chalet yarn is a blend of Alpaca and Bamboo that uses a unique lofty chainette construction that feels like a cloud… this is fireside knitting at its best!

Caps for Kids–Knitting for Charity

The holiday season is a wonderful time to share our love of knitting with those who could use a little extra warmth in their lives. Two organizations in particular, Live Violence Free and the Tahoe Resource Center, are currently supporting Caps for Kids, an effort to give warm knit hats to the kids who need them.

Want to use your knitting needles (or croquet hooks) to help? Create a cap using any yarn, in any style, and donate it by December 10th to the South Lake Tahoe Public Library. Any size hat is welcome; there is a special need for hats for older kids.

Need help finding a pattern or selecting a yarn? Stop by and let us help!

Happy knitting!
