How to Use Left-Over Yarn

So you have left-over yarn, perhaps remnant skeins from two (or twenty) completely different projects? We understand! And we’ve found the perfect solution: knit them into a cowl!

This is “Jenny’s” Cowl, created with our friend and customer Jenny. By alternating rows of knits and purls in the round, she created a woven-like fabric that is as soft as it is beautiful. (Her cowl used Classic Elite’s Chalet and Fibre Company’s Terra.) Come in to receive the pattern with any purchase!

Here are some other yarn combinations we think would be lovely:

Knit Collage Scarves: Fast & Fun!

Pom Pom Scarf by Knit Collage

Knit Collage’s Marled Chunky Cocoon Scarf and Pom Pom Scarf are two of our current favorites! They knit up fast — think 2-4 hours fast — on LARGE needles (35). This is a fun, quick project that’s just as much fun to wear as it is to knit. And we’ve got tons of great color combinations to choose from…

These bright and beautiful fibers are a perfect way to brighten up these cold winter days. Why not make one of each?

We’ve also just received some new kits for the Puffy Cable Cowl by ArtYarns. For $58, these kits have everything you need to make a truly unique gift: 1 skein of Cashmere Glitter (100% Italian Cashmere with Lurex) and a free downloadable pattern. All you’ll need to add is a set of US 6 needles. Just mention this blog post to receive 15% off!

If neither of these is quite right, we have plenty of other options for you, in Alpaca, Cashmere, Cotton and more! Come in soon and get those holiday projects started!
